Baselios Thomas I, Catholicos of Jacobite Syrian Church, no more

Baselios Thomas I, the Catholicos of India and head of the Jacobite Syrian Church, passed away at 95 in Kochi after prolonged age-related illnesses. He had led the Church for over two decades and was consecrated in 2002. His funeral ceremonies are scheduled for the weekend at the Patriarchal Centre Cathedral in Puthencruz.
