Vasota Fort to be open from today

Vasota Fort in Satara district, a popular trekking destination in western Maharashtra, reopens on Nov 1. Situated at 3,842 feet within the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, overnight camping is banned to protect wildlife. The fort, built in the 11th century and later captured by Shivaji Maharaj, is renowned for its challenging trek and historical significance.
