Cops ‘drag’ bodies of man-daughter on road in Assam; DGP orders probe
Assam DGP G P Singh has ordered an investigation after footage emerged of police personnel allegedly dragging the bodies of a man and his daughter, who died in a road accident in Darrang. The footage, showing the bodies being moved in polythene sheets, caused widespread condemnation. Police claim the bodies were carefully transferred under challenging circumstances.
