ICC appoints Sumathi Dharmawardena as new Independent Chairman of Anti-Corruption Unit

Sumathi Dharmawardena has been appointed as the new Independent Chairman of the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, succeeding Sir Ronnie Flanagan who retired after 14 years. Dharmawardena will begin his role on 1st November 2024, bringing extensive experience from Sri Lanka’s Attorney General’s Department and international bodies like Interpol and the United Nations.
