50 families asked to evacuate as fears of another landslide loom

Following a recent landslide at Varunavat Parvat, over 50 families in Uttarkashi received evacuation notices from the administration. Finding suitable accommodations quickly remains a challenge. In Chamoli district, 60 families in Pagnau village live in temporary shelters due to subsidence damage, awaiting a permanent solution. Officials are working on assessments and plans to prevent future incidents.
