Construction worker held for raping 7-year-old girl in Chennai

A 42-year-old construction worker in Thiruvottiyur was arrested for raping a seven-year-old girl. He lured the girl to his terrace home by promising sweets and then assaulted her. The victim informed her parents, who then filed a police complaint. The accused has been remanded in judicial custody after being arrested by the all-women police.
