Tamil Nadu announces half-day holiday for schools and colleges on Deepavali eve

Tamil Nadu government has announced a half-day holiday for schools and colleges on Wednesday before Deepavali. Many private schools have already announced a holiday on the same day due to expected crowds. Students will enjoy a five-day festival break. Additionally, November 1 is also a holiday for government offices and schools, but it will be compensated on November 9.
