Foreign debt financing by Brazilian issuers surges in 2024

Brazilian entities have raised $17.6 billion in foreign debt as of September 2024, outpacing 2023 figures. The National Treasury led with $6.5 billion, while companies are attracted by lower rates and longer maturities abroad. Specialists note strong investor interest in green and high-credit bonds from Brazil, despite overall volume not reaching 2020 levels.
