Maharashtra’s Nashik rural police crack down on illicit liquor trade ahead of elections
Nashik Rural police have stepped up actions against illicit liquor trade, registering 130 cases and booking 131 people in four days following the model code of conduct for the assembly elections. The effort, led by SP Vikram Deshmane, involves destroying liquor worth over Rs 12 lakh and seizing gutkha worth Rs 28 lakh.
