India’s trade deficit narrows to $20.78 billion in September

India’s merchandise trade deficit in September improved to $20.78 billion, lower than economists’ forecast of $25 billion and significantly down from August’s $29.65 billion. Merchandise exports reached $34.58 billion, while imports stood at $55.36 billion. Services sector saw exports at $30.61 billion and imports at $16.32 billion.
