In past 100 days, one chain-snatching case reported in Chennai

Chennai’s stringent police actions since July 7 led to the arrest of 460 active rowdies, resulting in a drop in chain-snatching incidents and only one gold jewellery robbery until October 13. The police’s tracking and prosecution of criminals, including a suspect arrested on September 16, have contributed to this reduction. Police Commissioner A Arun assumed charge on July 7.
