When Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden Test double hundred
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar achieved his first double century in Test cricket during New Zealand’s 1999 tour to India in the 3rd Test at Ahmedabad. Tendulkar’s remarkable 217 and Sourav Ganguly’s 125 led India to declare at 583/7, eventually helping India win the series 1-0. It was the then Indian captain’s 71st match (110th innings).
