Sex ratio dips in Delhi, but cases under sex determination act also low

Delhi’s sex ratio at birth has fallen from 929 females in 2022 to 922 in 2023 for every 1,000 males, with only 19 cases registered under the PCPNDT Act over three years. Efforts are underway to enhance law enforcement and raise societal awareness about the importance of the girl child.
