Telugu cinema is now enjoying great success, after the international success of “RRR.” Thus tempting Bollywood to borrow ideas from them. Remakes of “Jersey”, “Good Luck Jerry”, and “Kabir Singh” are instances. Interestingly, this is not a new concept, it’s a replication of an era when Telugu films have become pan-Indian sensations. It traces back five decades when Telugu film remakes in Hindi became a tradition promoted by director Tatineni Rama Rao popularly known as T. Rama Rao.
