Maharashtra cabinet passes resolution to urge Centre to confer ‘Bharat Ratna’ on Ratan Tata
The Maharashtra cabinet has requested the Central government to award the Bharat Ratna to the late Ratan Tata for his significant contributions to Indian industry and philanthropy. Tata, who passed away at 86, transformed the Tata Group and was deeply involved in numerous social causes. The Maharashtra government has declared a day of mourning in his honor.
