Cases of malaria among migrant laborers pose a risk in Dakshina Kannada
Malaria cases have significantly decreased in Dakshina Kannada, falling from 4,741 in 2017 to 87 in 2024. However, dengue remains a concern with 497 cases this year. The health department is also noticing viral fever cases due to the rainy season but assures these are manageable with proper care.
