BIS to come out with a National Agriculture Code for best farm practices

The Bureau of Indian Standards proposes creating the National Agriculture Code to standardize best farm practices, considering regional climatic conditions. The comprehensive code will cover various aspects of agriculture including sowing, harvesting, and post-harvest practices. A draft code is expected by next October followed by stakeholder consultations before the final release.
