In the most recent episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Amazon, “Doomed to Die,” Celebrimbor, an Elven smith, revealed Sauron’s deceit intended to persuade him to craft the nine rings of power for Men. Celebrimbor finished the nine rings for Men that he was afraid to construct in a mental prison where he was free from outside influences.
