Good news, UP car buyers! Govt offers up to 75% tax exemption on scrapping old vehicles

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced tax exemptions of up to 75 percent for scrapping end-of-life vehicles to curb pollution, particularly in the NCR. The policy, effective from September 11, 2024, to March 10, 2025, also includes waivers for unpaid dues and promotes hybrid vehicle adoption with registration tax waivers.
