Sacred cleansing ritual ‘Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam’ marks start of Brahmotsavam preparations at Tirupati temple
The traditional Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam ritual was performed at Tirumala temple on Tuesday in preparation for the annual brahmotsavams from October 4 to 12. The entire temple was thoroughly cleansed and an aromatic mixture called ‘Parimalam’ was applied. Devotees will be allowed for darshan from 12 noon onwards, following special pujas.
