Bihar and Jharkhand among top two states enrolling for contributory pension scheme for farmers

Bihar and Jharkhand lead in enrolling landholder cultivators for the PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana, a contributory pension scheme launched in 2019. Despite Uttar Pradesh having the highest number of small farmers, only 2.51 lakh have enrolled. Awareness efforts at the local level are crucial for increasing participation.
