Mountaineers scaled unclimbed high peak, names it ‘Tsangyang Gyatso Peak’ after Sixth Dalai Lama
A team from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) has successfully climbed an unnamed peak in Arunachal Pradesh’s Gorichen range, naming it ‘Tsangyang Gyatso Peak’ to honor the 6th Dalai Lama. The expedition faced numerous challenges such as treacherous crevasses and steep ice walls, marking one of NIMAS’s most challenging climbs.
