US to provide another $424 million in Sudan aid

US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield has announced an additional $424 million in humanitarian assistance for Sudan. This funding aims to mitigate acute hunger and mass displacement resulting from ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces. With this announcement, total US aid since the conflict began now amounts to $2 billion.
