James Cameron tells critics of his scripts to ‘Show me your blockbusters before judging my dialogue’
While admitting that there were the lows and highs of *The Terminator*, Cameron has said he does not find the dialogue, overall pretty embarrassing. He admitted others might find some lines cringe-worthy to the point of being impossible to bear but produced a well-timed flourish by pointing to the success of some of his films. Cameron added that his movies, like *Avatar* and *Titanic*, have grossed billions at the box office regardless of any perceived shortcomings of the writing. “Let me see your three-out-of-the-four-highest-grossing films — then we’ll talk about dialogue effectiveness,” he said.
