Meta, Spotify, and Ericsson have alerted the European Union that its current technology regulations may impede the region’s ability to fully benefit from artificial intelligence. In an open letter, they highlighted that AI can enhance productivity and economic growth but warned that Europe risks falling behind due to inconsistent regulatory decisions.
