Moon, Mars and now Venus: Union Cabinet gives big boost to Isro

The Union Cabinet has approved India’s Venus Orbiter Mission under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Managed by ISRO and scheduled for launch in March 2028 with a budget of Rs 1,236 crore, the mission will study Venus’ surface and atmosphere. Indian industries and academic institutions will contribute to spacecraft development.
