NASA discovers closest pair of supermassive black holes in merging galaxies: Insights from Hubble and Chandra
NASA has identified the closest confirmed pair of supermassive black holes within the galaxy MCG-03-34-64. Using multiwavelength observations from Hubble and Chandra telescopes, these black holes are separated by around 300 light-years. The discovery shows high-energy emissions and bright optical points, suggesting two closely spaced supermassive black holes as per NASA reports.
