Chongqing, China faced an unusual ‘underwear storm’ following the use of cloud-seeding missiles to break a heatwave. Gusts reaching 122 km/h sent laundry flying from high-rise buildings. Authorities confirmed the use of cloud seeding but denied it caused the strong winds, attributing them instead to natural convection.
