Govt introduces new Uniform marketing code for the medical devices sector
The Indian government has enforced a uniform code for marketing practices in the medical device sector to eliminate unethical conduct. The new rules forbid organizing overseas workshops, offering hotel accommodations, or monetary incentives to healthcare professionals. Medical device firms are required to disclose expenses related to conferences and workshops and must not promote unapproved products.
