Cyclone Fengal: Puducherry records highest rainfall in 30 years

Cyclonic Storm FENGAL brought 48.4 cm of rainfall to Puducherry on 1st December, the highest in the last 30 years. The Indian Army rescued over 100 people from flood-hit areas, with power outages and damaged electric lines affecting the town. Restoration efforts are ongoing.
