Cybercrook poses as boss on WhatsApp, dupes Gujarat firm of Rs 1.98 crore

A financial officer from an advisory firm was duped into transferring Rs 1.98 crore after a cybercriminal, using a WhatsApp profile with his boss’s photo, convinced him of the authenticity. Suspicion arose later, leading to the discovery of the fraud and a subsequent police complaint.
