Karnataka bypoll election: BJP, Congress and JD(S) fight to retain current seats

Early trends in the Karnataka bypolls showed the ruling parties maintaining leads in their respective constituencies. The Congress party led in Sandur, the BJP in Shiggaon, and the JD(S) in Channapatna. These bypolls were necessitated by the election of the incumbent MLAs to the Lok Sabha in May.
