Maharashtra’s Tulja Bhavani Temple to ensure pure ghee prasad, opens Rs 4 crore tender amid Tirupati laddu row
The Tulja Bhavani temple in Tuljapur has invited tenders from reputed companies to prepare prasad for its devotees, following a controversy over the use of animal fat and fish oil in Tirupati Balaji temple’s prasad. The decision, led by the temple trust’s chairman Sachin Ombase, aims to ensure high standards by using pure ghee. The tender is worth Rs 4 crores per year and seeks firms with a strong track record in food preparation. This move aims to enhance transparency and maintain the spiritual sanctity of the offerings.
